After buying a moleskine sketchbook, walked with him for months backpacking but always postpone it groove, arranged a series of excuses to not draw it, I thought it was too good for any sketch and never found the right place to the right drawing .
Normally use sketchbooks made by me with scraps of paper or cheap sketchbooks with low quality paper, I find in the supermarket, if the drawings go wrong I can always say it is the fault of the paper that sucks!
On a radiant morning sun I comes out to draw and just took a sketchbook in my backpack (the moleskine) so that there weren't excuses to not draw in it, and I went for a walk to the cliffs in Lagos.
I started by drawing the cliff leading down to the beach of Camilo, picking up in the background the lighthouse at Ponta da Piedade.
On the Camilo beach I went down a trail, steep cliff and I drew facing to the beach of Dona Ana during the route on the rail I did not have the sense of danger I were in, despite the feet slipping me several times, but while I was drawing I thought I had made a dangerous and unnecessary route. Later talking to friends and tell them what I had been doing, they reminded me tragic stories on the cliffs, then I realized the danger and How idiot had been, a few days later a friend reminded me the story of Bernardo Sassetti, a Portuguese pianist who died in 2012, when he fell about 20 feet from a cliff at Guincho where He was taking photographs.
At the end of the morning I went to Ponta da Piedade, even with the wind which was felt, I was able to endure the time to draw, I was amazed with the amount of tourists in the middle of winter that walked through there to photograph the cliffs.
The rock in the shape of Cinderella's slipper was the big attraction and it was what I drew!
